Frequently Asked Questions
How do I set a timer?
Open the app and use the dial to select your desired time, or tap one of the preset buttons (5, 15, 25, or 60 minutes). You can also save your own presets with the + button. Then tap the Start button to begin. If you would rather not build a timer each time, the Library tab holds whole saved setups - four are already waiting the first time you open the app.
What is the Library for?
A setup saved in the Library remembers everything about itself: its length, its progress marks, its finish message, its colours and its sounds. Tap one to load the whole thing at once, or tap the arrow to edit it in place. Nothing changes until you save. It is the quickest way to move between, say, a 55-minute call and a 5-minute reset without setting anything up again.
How do I use TimeSee on my Apple Watch?
Make sure the TimeSee app is installed on your Apple Watch. Open the app on your Watch to see the current timer status or start a new timer directly from your wrist.
Can I turn off the sound?
Yes. Go to Settings > Sound & Vibration and turn off Completion sound. The ending still arrives as a vibration, so a silent phone in a meeting will still let you know. You can also choose which sound you want under Sound type - there are 15, from a Japanese wind chime to a Zen singing bowl.
The finish sound is too short and I miss it. Can it keep going?
Yes. Go to Settings > Sound & Vibration and turn on Ring until stopped. The finish sound then keeps playing until you tap Silence or Snooze, rather than passing in three seconds. Snooze length is next to it, and can be 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes. This works while TimeSee is on screen; if you leave the app, the sound stops and the finish notification takes over.
How do I add progress marks?
Go to Settings > Timer Display > Progress marks and tap + Add, then enter the minutes (for example 8 and 16 for a 30-minute session). Marks appear on the bar, ring, clock and wall clock timer styles, and quietly fade once you pass them. You can also choose a mark size: Subtle, Standard, or Bold. The circle style does not show marks - the app will tell you so if you pick it.
Can I see how much time has passed, not just what's left?
Yes. Go to Settings > Timer Display > Timer style and choose Clock. Your set time is drawn on an analog dial, and the time you have already used stays visible in a lighter shade.
Can I set the timer by when I want to finish, instead of how long it should run?
Yes. Go to Settings > Timer Display > Timer style and choose Wall Clock. The home screen becomes a real clock face showing the actual time of day, with your session drawn across it as a coloured band. Drag the end of the band to the time you want to finish - drag it to 9:50 and it is set, with no minutes to work out. A quiet line underneath always shows when you will be done.
There are a lot of settings. Where do I start?
By default there are not. A new install opens with just the essentials, and a single switch at the top of Settings called Show all settings reveals the rest when you want it. Nothing is ever removed by hiding it - your choices keep working either way. If you have been using TimeSee for a while, you already have everything showing; turn that switch off for a calmer list.
Is TimeSee free? Are there any in-app purchases?
TimeSee is completely free. Every feature, sound, and theme is included. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no ads.
Does TimeSee collect my data?
No. TimeSee does not collect any personal data. All your settings are stored locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
The app isn't working properly. What should I do?
Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, try restarting your device. If you're still experiencing problems, please contact us at support@defrust.com with details about the issue.
